Summer 2012 is all about the staycation if Mulberry’s show was anything to go by.  Good old British Seaside - think pier arcades, candy striped beach huts, vintage ice cream vans and inflatable animal balloons.

Bright, Bold and Bonkers  - three words that I think sum up the Mulberry show at LFW.  The perfect tonic, that I think we all could do with in this time of economic crisis.  And something to help us see the light at the end of the tunnel that is winter (and it hasn’t even started yet folks!)

Mulberry’s Creative Director, Emma Hill reveals that she’s been “inspired by the classic British seaside! We're recreating a seventies summer of fun for the new season: I've also been inspired by donkey rides on the beach, sticks of rock and the glittering lights of the pier, as well as the classic Englishness of rolling meadows, bright summer flowers such as pansies and nostalgic Scouts' and Brownies' uniforms.”
Roll on Spring / Summer 2012 – I’m heading to Scarborough, fancy coming with me? (don’t forget your bucket and spade!)

Yellow = Summer = Smiles

Love the draw string waist - draw it in for a glam night out, or loosen for a bohemian, relaxed (too many mulberry ice creams) look.

The print on this dress just screams British countryside, made even more fabulous by the inclusion of socks and sandals.  On paper it shouldnt work but just look at it - it so does (very Fearne Cotton-esque)
Swaths of material, leather jacket and bardot hair - love it
To add further style points to the Mulberry show was the appearance of Kate Moss on the front row – rocking an achingly cool double denim look for a Sunday morning.
