Colour Me Beautiful by Emilia Wickstead

27 year old, New Zealand born Emilia graduated from Central Saint Martin's London in 2007.  She has worked with the likes of the Georgio Armani, Proenza Schouler and Narciso Rodriguez studios.  And this week she showcased her Spring/Summer 2012 collection at London Fashion Week for the first time.

Emilia creates beautiful made-to-measure wear with her focus being "all about making women look wonderful and making them feel fantastic."  Something that Anya Hindmarch, Lady Kitty Spencer, Emma Parker Bowles and India Hicks would all agree with.  As Wickstead dressed all these ladies (and more) for the wedding of the year (no, not Kim Kardashian's!) - the Royal Wedding of William and Kate in April.

The London Evening Standard descirbes Emilia as "the most influential fashion designer you've never heard of."

Wickstead offers thress tiers of service at her shop located in the most exclusive area of Belgravia.
* Made-To-Measure clothes starting at £400 but going up to the thousands and require several fittings.  “I love doing consultations and bringing out the best part of a woman's body that maybe they haven't seen..... When they leave, they're like a different person - really confident and happy. I'd like to think we can make a nice, glowing change to British dressing."
* Made-To-Order dresses are around £100 cheaper.  With a choice of over 60 fabrics allowing the customer to select a fabric to suit their budget.
* Ready-To-Wear items with prices starting at around £200.

Her latest collection showcased an ice cream coloured selection of outfits, many of which would be perfectly suited for the modern woman for any quintessintial british summer occassion - think country wedding, garden party or christening.  The very wearable looks had a real English Rose feel to them, with a hint of flirty, playfulness.

Gwyenth Paltrow's stylist was spotted in the audience, so look out for Gwynnie sporting an Emilia Wickstead number at a red carpet event very soon.

Emilia describes her aesthetic as "understated, timeless and luxurious" - something that I think you will all agree with when you peruse the stand out looks that I have picked out from the latest collection below.

"I played on the theme of ladies who lunch, who have tennis lessons, who party, who entertain."
