Victorious Victoria

Last night saw Victoria Beckham officially welcomed into the fashion fold.  She won the Designer Brand of the Year at the 2011 British Fashion Awards proving she's so much more than a pout and a stare!

"I would like to thank the British fashion industry for your support, I'd like to thank my team, you all know who you are, your focus, your creativity - Simon Fuller, my parents, my kids and my husband. Without him I wouldn't have had the courage to do what I am doing."

Beautiful Behind - loving the updo and the perfectly tanned smooth shoulders and back (no "bacne" on VB!) This is high maintenance at its finest
Mrs Beckham has built a brand and a career in fashion to be proud of.  “Though I'm trying to take baby steps, the business is growing very quickly," she said. "Our turnover year-over-year has increased over 120 per cent. I think by anyone's standards that's very impressive."

The A-List love a VB creation, with celebs both sides of the pond rocking her signature hour glass silhouette dresses

Let's Sparkle Challenge

Made-ons less than 48 hours til December - which means I will be officially allowed to break out the baubles and whack on Mariah Carey; but more importantly I can don a sequin or two!

My challenge to you for the month of December is to wear something with sparkles / glitter / sequins every day until January 1st - it can be a full on sequin dress or just a nod to the trend in the form of glitter nail polish.

Take a photo of your outfit(s) on your iPhone (other phones are available!) and email it to me - emmataylormade@live.co.uk or send me a text with the piccie on (this option is obviously just for those who already have my number - not about to post my phone number on the world wide web!) and each Friday I will create a montage of your glittertastic looks.

I will share my looks with you every day....and I will try not to repeat an outfit (which is going to be a challenge!)

Making Audio Adorable

OMG look how flippin cute these are!  Jazz up your tube journey to work and rock a pair of Marc Jacobs earphones - the perfect gift for girls who heart music and labels.

Lusting Over Louboutin

I need this book in my life -  Mr Louboutin is nothing short of a genius in my eyes.  His shoes are like works of art.  Never lower than a 4 inch heel (kitten heels are soooo wrong) and yet comfy beyond compare.

This book has been created to celebrate the brand's 20th Anniversary  and contains over 300 pages of stunning photography, inspiration and biographic detail.  Featuring a fold-out cover and with exclusive insight into his personal archives, this is a real collector's item - making it an ideal gift for all you shoe lovers (or anyone with a foot fetish!?)

Bonus Feature - it has a pop up page....now who doesn't love a book with a bit of pop up art!!

Available from Amazon (www.amazon.co.uk) £47.60

For The Girl Who Has Everything

It has arrived!  'Chanel Luxe' trilogy is the ultimate collector's item for lovers of the iconic French fashion house.  Presented in the label's signature quilted leather and adorned with the famous double 'C' this is a must have item for all Chanel loving ladies.
There are three books exploring Fine Jewellery, Perfume and Coco herself.
At £475, it's not your average stocking filler - but you can't put a price on a piece of fashion history (that's what I'll be telling Mr ETM anyway!)

The Christmas Chic Boutique

December is just days away, so it's time to start thinking about Christmas cards.  Money is tight for everyone this year and Secret Santa and present buying budgets are what it's all about - we all need to make our money go further.  So although we are not giving gifts to all our friends, I think it's important to write and send cards to our nearest and dearest.

Now, I love social networking and technology - but sometimes a tweet, poke, text or e-card just doesn't cut the mustard.  There's nothing quite as nice as receiving a handwritten card through the letter box (and none of your Moon Pig nonsense either; a card with an actual handwritten message inside please).

This year make a pact with yourself to set a side an evening and put pen to paper and write Christmas cards to the special people in your life.

I have discovered some gorgeous handmade cards that would stand out amongst all the generic robin and santa cards scattered across the supermarket shelves at the moment.

The Christmas Chic Boutique has a range of beautifully handcrafted quirky cards at very reasonable prices, all  handmade by the talented young lady Laura Crothers.

Reindeers - Christmas Puddings - Baubles - Mittens - Bows
(Free Personalistion)
£1.50 for 1
£6 for 5
£10 for £10

On receiving my delivery I opened the packet to discover each item individually wrapped in gold tissue paper with black snowflake stickers - love the attention to detail (and if you open them carefully you could re use the paper - check me out with my save the environment tips hey!!)

It's not just cards; they also make notice boards and wooden hanging signs.
My personal favourite item (that shall be hanging on our hall wall with pride from next weekend!) is the wooden sign saying - "There's No Place Like Home...At Christmas"

To place an order or see the full Christmas Range visit the facebook page "The Christmas Chic Boutique" or email lauz.c@hotmail.co.uk

Nails Inc Couture

I spotted an article in the latest issue of Vogue about a new bespoke service from Nails Inc.  I was straight onto the website to find out more, but there was nothing to be found (cue sad face).   So I took it upon myself to get in touch with Nails Inc and I can confirm that they have replied today with the very exciting news that at the end of this month (November) they will be launching Nails Inc Couture – where you can create your very own nail polish.  You can choose a colour, a lid and name the polish yourself for £20.  What a gosh darn genius idea --- stocking filler alert for all sisters / girlfriends!

Nails Inc are really on the ball at the moment with all their innovative special effects polishes and limited edition bottles.  My personal favourite shades are....

Elizabeth Street
This is a really elegant, nude polish (ideal shade for any of you brides to be out there).  It has the same effect as a nude shoe, lengthening the look of your hands and nails.

Glastonbury
Now this is a Christmas party polish and a half!  Look at all the glitter – rock with a LBD and Santa wont know what’s hit him!

Victoria & Albert
A super glossy and deep red polish - very sophisticated shade.  You can wear this on it’s own or for a more festive feel, add a layer of gold glitter polish on top.

Another genius new feature on the wesbite is Nails Inc VIP here you can sign up to their membership plan for just £5.
  • With this you will receive a full size nail polish (10ml) worth £11 when you join
  • 10% discount on every online order
  • Earn reward points with every online order and then spend them on treats for yourself at nailsinc.com
  • £5 online gift voucher  to spend in your birthday month
  • hear about new product launches and offers

Keep checking the Nails Inc website for the launch of their Couture Customising Service...please email me (emmataylormade@live.co.uk) if you design one yourself - love to see what colours you pick and names you come up with!
