Pay Day Treat Time

This shimmery foil vest top is the perfect post summer pick me up - sport with what is left of your holiday tan, denim shorts and piles of gold bangles.
Then come winter tucked into wide leg black palazzo pants, a fail safe fitted tuxedo jacket and smokey eye makeup.
This vest is definitely a "need it now" item for your wardrobe that will stand the test of time.  And a £32 it wont make too big of a dint in your pay packet.

Animal Magic

How flipping amaazin is this Kate Spade bag.  I know its somewhat of a novelty bag but I adore anything that's a fashion - animal hybrid.  I have more "animal" jewellery than I have room in my jewellery box.  In fact, I may post a picture of my jewellery zoo collection for you Made-ons this weekend :-)

This would be the perfect holiday bag -  wandering the markets of Marrakech
in a colourful maxi dress, gold hoop earrings and this little elephant swinging from your arm - very Carrie Bradshaw circa 1999 me thinks

Seen It, Want It.....Neeeeeed It!

I've just seen these aaaamazin hair clips by Maison Michel on my daily "The Zoe Report" email and I had to share them with you.

Just look at these bad boys, how fierce would they look - I'm thinking skinny black jeans, slouchy vest top with a racy lacy bra peeking out, a gold chain necklace and one of these hair slides in the side of your hair when tied back in a pony tail - black eyeliner is mandatory!

Things I'm Looking Forward To.......

1) Kim Kardashian's Wedding
* Saturday 20th August 2011 *

I will hold my hands up and shout it loud and proud - I bloody love Keeping Up With The Kardashians - no guilty pleasure, just pure unadulterated love for the programme.  And as such, my excitement for Kim n Kris's wedding on Saturday is palpable!  What will her Vera Wang dress be like, how will they manage to kiss at the alter with that height difference :-)  What colour bridesmaids dresses will Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and  Kylie be wearing?  What crazy OTT decorations will befit the wedding venue (considering they had miniature ponies and that was only at their engagement party, lord knows what to expect from the big day itself!!)  Will Bruce walk Kim down the aisle, what celebrity "friends" will be there as guests - sooo many questions!
What is concerning me is the fact that I am going on holiday on Friday to Spain, and will have no access to the internet - which means no Daily Mail pics, or Kardashian sister tweets - how will I find out all the gory details - do you think the Spanish press consider a Kardashian wedding as newsworthy?!
Guess I'll just have to wait til I get back, and then watch the E! 10 hour special :-)

2) First Sighting of Victoria Beckham

It has been over five weeks now since baby Harper Seven Beckham was welcomed into the world, and well over that since we last saw VB.  Holed up in Spielberg's Malibu beach house, you just know that she is  scheming the most amazing re introduction into the celeb / fashion world!
Word is that she will make her first public appearence at New York Fashion Week which opens on 8th September.  I personally cannot wait to see what she will be wearing!

One thing I dont care about, but know everyone will be scrutinising over is - what's her figure like?  Whatever it's like, she's sure to be maligned - ooh she's so thin, can't be good for her or the baby to be losing so much weight so quickly.  Or, she'll suddenly be re branded by the press as "curvy" for not having lost all 12lbs (gasp - such weight gain!!) that she  put on during pregnancy.  Well I dont care what the dress size, is I just want to see the dress!

Mario and Moss a Marriage Made In Photographic Heaven

These intimate and exclusive photographs of Kate Moss and Jamie Hince on their wedding day in July taken by the legendary photographer Mario Testino for American Vogue are nothing short of breathtaking.
If anyone was in any doubt that Kate was thee supermodel of our time then these pictures will surely silence that notion.   The look of love, genuine delight and contentedness on Kate's face shines through.

I adore this free spirited, etheral photo of Kate with her 14 flowergirls and pages boys it has a real magical feel to it.

What a beautiful young girl Lila Grace is.This is a photo that both mother and daughter will surely treasure forever, the closeness and fragility of this portrait is breathtaking

Officially thee coolest bride and groom ever!

An intimate moment away from their guests.....

Baros Maldives June 2011

On a wet and windy day like today in Yorkshire, there is only one place that I would like to be, Baros Island in the Maldives.  This is my favourite photo from our honeymoon.  If ever I'm having a bad day at work or just feeling a tad down, I imagine myself back on that sun lounger - it's my happy place.  I just hope that one day we will be able to return to Baros and do it all again (best keep putting the pennies in the whisky jar if that is ever to happen!!)

Do All Things With Love

The happiest day of my life - 11th June 2011

I will be sharing more photos and stories from our engagement and wedding in upcoming posts but for now here is a sneak peek of me and Mr ETM on our special day xx

Infrared Photography

As a result of Mr ETM taking up photogrpahy as a side profession it has lead me to take an interest, and I find myself flicking through pages of photography books piled up in our bedroom to help him gather ideas and inspiration.

My particular favourite style of photography is Infrared.  This is where an infrared filter is used over the camera lens, this light reflects differently to visible light and as a reslut trees appear white and skies black.  This charming contrast of colour effects gives photos an eerie, post apocolyptic feel that draws you into the photograph.  Here are a few of my favourite pictures, if you "madens" like this feature I thought each Friday I would upload my favourite photo of the week and if any of you have any photos that inspire / amuse please feel email them to me at emma@specialistinfo.com and I will do my best to upload them all onto the blog.

Tuesday's Lust List

Things that have been floating my boat over the past seven days...

Number 1 - Topshop's newest nail varnish shade "Paint It On"

This is a rich, luxurious colour that will look fab against grey and forest green clothing come Autumn / Winter.  I'm a big fan of Tophop's polish range they are pretty hard wearing, dont chip easily and they are continually coming up with new shades to compliment their clothing line.

Number 2 - Finca Flichman Malbec

This is offically my favourite red wine ever.  First discovered on honeymoon with Mr ETM earlier this year, we have since found that Waitrose Wine (www.waitrosewine.com) stocks it and as a result we have taken to ordering by the case :-)
At just £7.59 a bottle it is really good vaule for what I consider to be a top wine.  Full bodied and smooth with what I think are hints of dried figs and blue cheese (but that's just my humble opinion - I'm more James May than Oz Clark when it comes to my wine knowledge!)

(my top wine tip - take a photo on your phone of the label of any wines that you try and like.  Makes it far easier the next time you are in the supermarket and are trying to find and remember the wine that you liked so much at dinner last week)

Number 3 - Daddy Beckham

I don't think I will ever tire of seeing pictures of David "the doting dad" - body boarding, picking up frozen yogurts, attending the Teen Choice Awards, playing football in the park -all with his three little lads.  And now Victoria has posted the most heart warming photo on Twitter (@victoriabeckham) of Harper and David sharing a cuddle.  J'adore David

Number 4 - Brogues with heels

Pixie Lott has long been sporting the brogue / playsuit look.  And it's just a look that I can't bring myself to embrace.  Maybe its my boat size feet, but brogues just make me feel stumpy, clumpy and not at all feminine, despite my love for them on the shelves.  So when I spied the latest take on the look - brogues with HEELS I thought, now this I can jump on board with.  The only questions is which pair to choose! Both the high street and designer stores are spoiling us for choice.
They will look fab with skinny flare jeans or with midi skirts and tights.

Surf's Up @ Teen Choice Awards

Best vs Worst from last night's Teen Choice awards in Los Angeles

Rachel Bilson in a Chloe dress and Brian Atwood shoes.

I liked this ensemble because it has a young, fun vibe to it which is perfectly suited to the TCA event.....and those shoots are aaaamazin!  Rachel has a knack of looking effortless cool, there's no bling jewellery or fancy handbag, just a simple white dress and killer heels - job done.

Ashley Greene in dress and shoes by Givency

Lately every photo I've seen of Ashley has been of her coming out of the gym - all leggings and sweat(!)...and you know what I much prefer that look on her than this get up.  The dress is just blah and even with a belt its her hips that you are highlighted rather than her small waist. The ankle straps of the shoes combined with the length of the dress means that her legs look stumpy rather than lean and elongated.  C'mon Ashley you're a young girl with a hot body - please do it some justice next time.

TaylorMade It...onto the top 4 weekly Lust List

** each week I will be bringing you my top 4 lust after things / people **

In at NUMBER 1: Nicky Hilton's Hair
The length, the colour, the LA laid back waves, the shine - serious case of hair envy over here!

NUMBER 2: Asda Little Angels stretch mark oil & cream
These little beauties are just £2.50 (for both) and they really do work wonders.  You can keep your £20 BioOil - I'm all about the Little Angels now!

NUMBER 3: Stars & Bows
I've always been a tad obsessed with anything with a bow or a star on and it looks like the catwalk and highstreet are set to be equally as smitten this Autumn / Winter.  Get in there first and rock a star or a bow, or even better - both whilst the sun is still shining and lead where others are sure to follow.

And finally at NUMBER 4Colour Pop Jeans
Red, Blue, Green - I love 'em all.  They look fab with a vest top worn now in summer, but keep hold of yours and rock them into next season too.  Wear with a knitted jumper and pointy courts and they're sure to brighten up a winter's day in Yorkshire.

And there you have it, my first TaylorMade (it on to the) Top 4 Lust List - please do come back and check in each Tuesday for the latest edition.

my first post!

"People are frightened of fashion because it scares them or makes them feel insecure.  On a whole when people say demeaning things about our world it is usually because they feel, in some ways, excluded or not a part of the “cool group”, so as a result they just mock it.  Just because you like to put on a beautiful Carolina Herrera dress or a pair of J Brand blue jeans instead of something basic from K-Mart, doesn’t mean that you are a dumb person.  There is something about fashion that can make people very nervous.”  Anna Wintour - September Issue

I'm here to take the fear out of fashion for you and share with you all the things I see and enjoy day to day, be it a fabulous necklace, an exquisite painting or an early morning sunrise.  There's so much hardship, sadness, worry and gloom in the world, sometimes it's just nice (and I believe good for the soul) to escape from it all and enjoy something lovely.  So please add me to your favourites and follow me into a world of fashion, love and friendship.......
